and here’s a more serious clip of Canada’s AI Minister Evan Solomon saying that the problem with biased algorithmic systems is simply that they’re not transparent enough.
Newsflash: other data about you can serve as a proxy for race or gender, so ‘transparency’ is insufficient. Solomon is just parroting industry talking points.

Abuse of the public trust, like what Solomon did in his role as a Journalist/Art Dealer to Those he Covered as a Journalist, should be a disqualifying factor for running for elected office.
